If you’ve ever dined at Finezza, you know we’re all about family. We treasure the bonds we form with our customers and the chance to celebrate life with them, whether for a wedding, a big anniversary, prom night or dinner on a Tuesday night.
A large component of our family is our staff, and most of our staff has been with us for five or more years. Our customers like to know they can come in and always see a familiar face. If you’ve visited Finezza for dinner in the last 10 years, there’s one face in particular you’re sure to recognize.
Brandy Yerbich has been working at Finezza for 11 years. As one of our most loved servers, she has an infectious laugh and a never-met-a-stranger personality that draws you in and makes you feel at home.
Despite growing up in Nashville, Brandy didn’t actually hear about Finezza until she was in bartending school and learned of a bartender opening at the Belle Meade restaurant. She applied and, lucky for us, was working behind the bar shortly after.
“And I never left,” she laughs.
Brandy quickly moved to a serving position and has been working in Finezza’s dining room ever since. That’s what she loves to do. Longevity is an admirable trait, but more so is the unwavering passion Brandy has for her job.
“It’s the customers,” she says. “I just became great friends with all of the people who come in regularly. Our regulars and the people who work here—they’re like my family. They know what’s going on in my life and ask me about it when they come in.
“And the connections I’ve made with so many of our customers extend beyond the restaurant, too. I was just texting one of our regulars earlier today about interior decorating advice.”
One of her favorite things about the close connections she develops at Finezza is seeing expecting mothers come in for dinner, and then getting to watch their children grow up and continue to come in for family dinners.
When Brandy’s not working at Finezza, she’s spending time with her own family. She and her husband have their hands full with three children under the age of eight and her teenage cousin who they’ve taken in as their own.
Brandy’s become a mainstay at Finezza, so the next time you’re enjoying dinner with us, get to know her like so many of our customers before. And ask her about her family—she’s got a phone full of pictures and stories to share!
